Situated in the ancient town of Sandwich in East Kent - England, the project delves into the nature of an origami lab.

The scheme emphasis on a concurrent analysis of location - urban environment and relation between exterior and interior public space through a series of collages.

The design consists of two stories. The first floor accommodates the working space for data gathering and the exhibition space for public dialogue. The second floor shelters private activities such as sleeping and preparing/eating food. On ground level the dissemination of festival activities take place and passers-by may participate.

The research device is raised above the public area, allowing space for the public to engage and highlighting local architectural details as the old blue wooden door and the brick wall with the curved finish.
