Designing a cabin that will form an ergonomic solution to the containment of a professional painter. Located in Dungeness - England, the small shelter provides economical and minimal space to retrear to in comfort for up to a week at a time to work and dwell.

 

The proposal's form derived from the traditional two pitched roof houses that define the local motive, with an addition of a circular volume been attached to one corner of the cabin, providing panoramic view and natural light for the painter to study and get inspired.

 

The "day" facilities like kitchen and bathroom are located on the ground floor while "night" activities like sleeping take place on the mezzanine floor.
